Hit the Lights supported Bayside in the Basement at Rock City last week.

I wasn’t massively impressed with HTL last time I saw them (supporting Fall Out Boy, maybe?), but I enjoyed this set. I still think they’re one of those bands that sounds better on record, but they seem to have plenty of support for their new vocalist too, which is always a hard switch to make.

Bayside were headlining, and I had never heard any of their stuff before. It was a decent performance, and they were obviously very comfortable on stage. Perfectly listenable, but I didn’t find myself getting terribly excited by it.
