My plan on arriving at Pen y Pass car park one recent Friday evening was to camp for the night and do the Snowdon Horseshoe the following morning. With a bit of extra time to kill, I thought I’d wander a little way up the red dot path on Glyder Fawr, to try and spot the good line I missed on the Welsh 1000m race. Once I got going it was very pleasant up there, so I just carried on to the summit, over Castell y Gwynt (slimier than I remember) and Glyder Fach, and returned to the car. It wasn’t how I envisaged the evening working out, but it was definitely fun and I didn’t see anyone else at all.
I accidentally ran over the Glyders. Then deliberately ran around Great Hucklow.
