Bowline MTB

I was going to describe last Saturday’s trip as “a quick blast around Gwydyr Mawr” but that would probably be false advertising because the route formerly known as the Marin Trail is always more committing that I remember it being.

Nevertheless, the riding was fun although the trail’s still a bit tired and could do with some TLC. Our Bowline group had only one minor incident, but good weather and hard work made for a great day out. Happily I smashed the final section, which is more than can be said for the last time I was there in 2018.

After a bit of a dash (and one wall climb) to our pizza and a pint booking it was early nights all round.

Sunday was a bit less hardcore, being a variation of red and black at Llandegla. Dry and loose was the name of the game, but always good value and especially in good company. Thanks to all involved, and healing vibes being sent out to Randal!
