The British 4x National Championships were held last Sunday at the Superbole at Harthill, and I went along to see the action. I grew up riding at Peckforton, less than a mile away from the Superbole, so it would have been rude not to attend. The track started the day damp, but as the rain kept falling it got wetter and wetter. Nevertheless, there was no lack of commitment from the riders as they slogged through the downpours. I was gutted I had to leave after the semi-finals, but congratulations to Katy Curd and Luke Limbrick for subsequently triumphing in soggy conditions.
I took my camera to see how I got on; I wasn’t sure what to expect, having never shot any kind of riding before. The rain was a real pain, but I don’t think the results are too bad given the conditions. I certainly learnt a lot, and will be definitely be trying some more soon. Let me know what you think in the Comments.
