I took the opportunity to get sunburnt at Burbage yesterday, and managed to fit in some bouldering too (sunburn’s not clever, kids). We had the gear with us, and toddled up an HVS 4b crack somewhere near Remergence at Burbage North, ably led by G. After that, we moved down to Burbage South boulders to meet some friends of G., and all carried on bouldering there for the rest of the day.
I managed to get up a couple of problems that I’ve not managed before, including a B3 on The Armoured car which involves a little pebble that became my mortal enemy last time I was there. I got up it first time with a minimum of fuss on this trip though. H had some new rock boots, and was tootling up stuff in a very competent manner. It’s the first time I’ve been out bouldering for a while, and it just made me realise that I really should do it more often.
