Dog-walk extravaganza

The caravan was free a couple of weekends ago, so we took advantage and managed to grab a sunny few days in Snowdonia.

Saturday morning was nice, but the planned run was aborted because I was feeling lazy. Instead we took an extended tour of Cwm Idwal, returning to the car via Cwm Bochlwyd.

After that we returned to the caravan for a leisurely afternoon, before heading out again to Llyn Dinas. Caesar had fun chasing up and down, and we eventually managed to wear him out.

Sunday morning was grey and drizzly, but we set off for a run over Cwm Bychan anyway. I felt tired all the way around, and the thought of running up anywhere afterwards held no appeal. Clearly this was more than plain old laziness, so with a suspected diagnosis of over-training and under-eating, we spent a pleasant afternoon wandering around Betws and then tiring the dog out some more on Harlech beach.

Monday found us in the familiar position of having to go home when we’d much rather stay in the glorious sunshine. We finished the trip with a circuit of Llyn Geirionedd, before grudgingly returning to Leicestershire!
