I’ve just created an HID profile that allows you to control the playback of an Adobe Lightroom slideshow using your Sony Ericsson K750i phone, over bluetooth. The profile was created using the “Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Remote Control” software from the SE website, and the lengthiest part of the process was actually creating the interface image (below).

You can download the profile here – just send it to your phone via bluetooth or a cable. The phone should prompt you to use the new profile immediately, or you can just select ‘Lightroom’ when you start the Remote Control application on the phone. The key mappings are:

• Number 2 – Play slideshow
• Number 5 – Pause slideshow
• Number 8 – End slideshow
• Numbers 1 /3 – Previous / Next slides

In addition, the left and right navigation keys and the Volume Up / Volume Down buttons will work for previous / next slides.

Although this was designed and tested on a K750i handset, SE reckon that profiles should be interchangeable between handsets to a certain degree so it might be worth giving it a try even if you’re not using a K750i.
