Wow, Random Hand impressed me. They’ve been around for a while now, but not only did they play a very competent set, they had some of the best stage banter I’ve heard in a long while. Good work.

Streetlight Manifesto were as good as expected, and it was nice to see them somewhere a bit smaller than Rock City (the Charlotte). I think Point/Counterpoint was the highlight for me; having to leave early to catch the last train home wasn’t. :( On the plus side, it was the best attendance I’ve seen at the Charlotte, or indeed any smaller gig, for a long time. Well done Leicester for turning out in force – it only people can keep it up! The crowd were so enthusiastic, in fact, that it was nigh-on impossible to get any decent shots.
