I once skipped the formal dinner at an academic conference in Manchester to go and see Tellison play instead. I don’t regret it for a second, and last night they proved just as entertaining at the Bodega Social Club in Nottingham. It was nice to see the venue fill up nicely, as bands are always more responsive when there’s more people in. A very cheery set went down well with the crowd, although awkward lighting and active band members meant that the photography was a bit more tricky.
I’m relatively pleased with the results anyway, and it’s more content for the impending re-launch of Punk Rock Portraits. Photography aside, it was nice to finally catch another Tellison set after far too long. Their new album, The Wages of Fear, was released earlier in the month; go and check it out.
